Each day, Alexa reminds me of what is most important in life. Not only by her existence in my life (although her existence in my life is the most precious gift and gracious blessing), but also in the small things she says and does. Every day she reminds me to live in the moment, not to dwell in the past or get too caught up in our future plans. She reminds me to stop and smell the flowers. That the journey is the destination. Every day she opens my eyes with her natural compassion, her thirst for learning and her open heart. Each morning I am born again because of her. Therefore, I thought I would share some of Alexa Capri Shannon Whitehouse's daily insight in my blog. So simple, so pure and yet something as adults we have to be reminded of. My daily practice begins today to be a kid at open heart.
